Packing Materials & Bag Specifications

All chilli export bags used by Gaman Impex are manufactured from food-grade polypropylene (PP) woven fabric. New bags are used for every lot — never reused bags. Each bag type is selected based on the destination market's import requirements and buyer preferences.

Standard PP Woven Bag

Our standard export bag is a double-stitched, food-grade PP woven bag with an inner HDPE liner. The outer PP woven fabric provides mechanical strength and tear resistance during container handling, while the inner HDPE liner provides moisture barrier protection during sea freight transit. This two-layer construction is the industry standard for dry red chilli export and is accepted without issue at ports in Vietnam, China, Thailand, and Malaysia.

Laminated PP Bags

For buyers requiring better print quality and a premium retail appearance, Gaman Impex can pack in laminated PP woven bags — where the outer surface is coated with a thin BOPP layer that allows high-quality multi-colour printing. Laminated bags are typically used for retail pack sizes (5 kg, 10 kg) where shelf appeal matters.

Private Label and Custom Printing

Gaman Impex offers private label packing for buyers who require their own brand identity on the bags. Custom printing can include: buyer's brand name and logo, product description and variety name, nutritional information panel, country of origin declaration, lot number and traceability codes, barcode or QR code for inventory management, and regulatory text in the buyer's local language. Minimum order quantities for custom-printed bags are typically 1 FCL (approximately 18–22 MT depending on pack size).

Container Loading from Our Facility

One of Gaman Impex's most significant logistics advantages is our ability to load FCL (Full Container Load) containers directly from our processing facility in Guntur — eliminating the need for CFS (Container Freight Station) handling, reducing transit time from production to port, minimising rehandling damage to packed bags, and reducing overall logistics costs. We coordinate directly with shipping lines and freight forwarders for both 20-foot and 40-foot container bookings from Guntur to Chennai or Krishnapatnam (KPCL) port.

Bag Labelling Requirements

Every packed bag is labelled with the following mandatory information required by most import countries:

• Product name (variety and common name)
• Net weight
• Lot/batch number for traceability
• Country of origin (India)
• Exporter name and address (Gaman Impex, Guntur)
• FSSAI license number
• IEC (Import Export Code) number
• Moisture content percentage
• Month and year of packing
